At Triptiv, we value your right to privacy. We have created this policy to protect any information you may supply us with.
In order to provide accurate reflections of current trip provider quality, we ask for reviews from you, the users of the site. We also collect review snapshots from many different sources, to link travellers to reviews that are of interest. If a review from you is published or referenced on the site, your name (or username if the review is from an external site which does not publish your name) and country are also published to tell other travellers who you are. When you submit a Triptiv review, we ask for your email address to verify that you really exist. We do not pass your email to anyone, but of course if you send an enquiry requesting information from a trip provider, we will pass on your contact details to them so that they can answer your questions. We will not publish your email address, or use it to send you information unless you request that we do so. We will send email updates to you if you request them, and it is possible to unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time.
We also collect and publish information about trip providers to help travellers decide which one is best for them. If you are a trip provider and would like to know more about how we process the information you provide, please email us at lovelypeople@triptiv.com.
We love to receive your feedback about the site. We collect feedback, and a few details about the person supplying it, so that we can improve what we do. We may retain your comments to respond to you and improve our site, and may also edit or reproduce your comments in testimonials about Triptiv. When we do this we will only identify you by your name and country (or username and/or site address if the review is on an external site which does not make your name and/or country available) or company name, if applicable, unless you give us permission to use more information. If you'd prefer us not to, please let us know. At Triptiv, we enjoy providing a place online where opinions can be shared, but please remember to respect the privacy of others in your reviews and opinions. If you are unhappy with any information about you that we may include on the site, please let us know so that we can remove it wherever this is possible and reasonable.
We use Google Analytics for site statistics; this code may use cookies (small character files) which allow us to track your movements through our site, and see whether you have visited before. We do this to improve the service we provide and understand how people are using the site. Cookies do not contain any personally identifiable information, though they may uniquely identify your browser. You may choose to refuse cookies in your browser, but our site, and other sites you visit, may not perform as well when cookies are turned off. If you reach our site via a link, we will log that information so that we can better understand the people using our site, however this will only be used to generate overall reports, and will never be linked to you personally. We may share aggregated non-personal information (from which you cannot be identified) with third parties. We will only share personal information with third parties when required to do so by law, or to protect against harm.
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy as and when required. We will obtain your explicit consent before reducing your rights under any future privacy policy. The Policy applies only to Triptiv services, not to any of the sites to which we link, or any sites which link to us.
